Bank of America said it has identified a solution following reports of system outages Wednesday.
"Some customers may have been unable to access some of our online and/or mobile banking applications," Bank of America, the country's second-largest bank, said in a statement to CBS News early Wednesday evening. "We have identified the solution and are updating systems now."
"Many customers who experienced difficulty initially are now operating normally," the statement added.
The website Downdectector.com said reports of outages started just after 11:30 a.m. Many customers also posted their complaints on social media.
