Former President Bill Clinton is hitting the road to campaign for his wife in the all-important primary state of New Hampshire.
Clinton’s campaign announced Monday that the former president will make his first campaign trip of the year on Jan. 4, attending a pair of organizing events in Nashua and Exeter.
The announcement comes after GOP front-runner Donald Trump released a flood of attacks against the former president, openly referencing his affair with intern Monica Lewinsky and swirling rumors of other sexual misconduct during Clinton’s tenure in the White House.
Trump said on Twitter that Bill Clinton has a “terrible record of women abuse” and a “penchant for sexism.”
